I completed both my clinical and didactic hours in August 2024 through the University of California, San Diego Extended Studies program. Shortly after, I founded Indigo Bay Wellness with the goal of promoting airway health awareness in my hometown of Georgetown, SC.
My interest in the connection between breastfeeding and airway development began during my Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy training. That interest deepened during my UCSD lactation course, where I gained a broader understanding of breastfeeding—not just in terms of oral development, but as a key part of building lifelong wellness, including better sleep patterns.
It’s truly incredible how our bodies naturally provide nourishment for our babies. For some, breastfeeding comes easily; for others, it can present challenges. This journey inspired my passion to support other mothers—especially those who may find the process overwhelming or difficult.
Even when breastfeeding feels natural, research consistently shows that having the support of a lactation consultant, particularly before birth, significantly increases success. My goal is to empower you to feel confident in your ability to care for your baby—because you are doing your best, no matter where you are on your journey.
Leaving the hospital often brings a wave of new questions, especially as you adjust to a different environment.
That’s why prenatal appointments are so valuable—they lay the groundwork before your baby arrives. Then, within a day or two after birth, I offer in-home visits to help make the transition from hospital or home birth as smooth as possible.
My in-home consultations typically last 60 to 90 minutes, and each session is tailored to address your unique concerns and needs. We’ll also schedule at least one follow-up appointment, which can be done either in-person or virtually, depending on what works best for you.
Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, every experience is different. My goal is to make your appointments convenient, supportive, and calming.
I’m also a member of Wildflower and TLN, which may allow your insurance to cover the cost of appointments. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to help.
